Thanksgiving, BAH!!

ROWR!

Okay, Thanksgiving in the USA is supposed to be all with the turkey, and the gravy, and the turkey, and did I mention the turkey?

So how surprised was I to find Ed putting down big bowls of our food and water and then carrying SUITCASES out to their car?!? They were gone for almost three whole days! Then they had the gumption to NOT BRING BACK ANY TURKEY!!!

If I wasn't so happy to see them, I would've pooped on their pillow or something. Unfortunately, I just can't hold a grudge (none of the Cats in the house did.)

Ed does owe me some turkey, though!!

LitterBox Scores - 11/22/2004

Today was a VERY successful "Games Cats Play" day.

Round 1: Brown Bottom Boogie (click to see rules)
I was able to lay a pretty decent streak down the hallway carpet this morning. It was just prior to Kim and Ed's wakeup time, so Ed didn't find it until he was almost stepping on it.

Cats: 1
Humans: 0

Round 2: Trip (click to see rules)
NotSo got in a good play of "Trip" today. Ed worked downstairs today so he could watch K while Kim was out of the house. NotSo decided to help Ed, however, while Ed was walking and carrying a drink, he declared "Gameplay" and slid right in between Ed's legs and got him to stumble and slosh his soda down his arm. None of the drink got to Ed's computer, so there were no bonus points.

Cats: 1
Humans: 0

Round 3: Barf Wars (click to see rules)
After Dinner tonight, I was able to QUIETLY blorb out most of my stomach contents (and maybe even some of yesterday's and the day before's) right in the middle of Syd's and K's play area. This was while my humans were eating dinner.

Cats: 1
Humans: 0

Daily Score:
Cats: 3
Humans: 0

Time and Weather

Mrrow!

Has it really been over 10 days since I've written? Sorry. Seems my human, Ed, can't keep his computers running, and of the two that I know work all the time, one is up too high for me to get to, and the other is his work computer and he just changed the password so I don't know it. I'm not allowed out of the house, so using the library is out. (Besides, that'd probably freak too many humans out.)

Anyway, I've got a couple gripes (besides the whole computer access stuff.)
Who the HELL invented Daylight Standard time and Daylight Savings time here in the US (or "Summer Time" for my friends in the EU)? (Okay, I know Benjamin Franklin had a hand in it but it wasn't him. Here's an interesting place for the history Daylight Saving Time.) All I know is now that we've "fallen back" I get fed an hour later. Jeeze, Ed, it's the SUN that sets the time of day! Quit looking at the FREAKING CLOCK to see when to feed us. Trust that when all the Cats in the house are sitting in the kitchen looking at you, IT'S TIME TO EAT!!! growl

Second problem: I'm old, the temperature is dropping, (we're in North Carolina, USA, so 40 degrees F is getting cold to us.) Why won't my humans put the heat on? I see them put sweaters on, extra blankets on the bed, lap blankets in the sitting rooms. I NEED MORE!!! I don't like getting under the blankets, Ed, Kim and Syd move too much when I sleep on the beds. TURN ON THE HEAT!!!!

And it can only get worse as the winter arrives

NotSo Happy Face

Meow.

Remember how I've mentioned that NotSo is a happy, laid back cat?

Check out this picture and see if you can spot his "happy face."
