Humans - Sleep = Something to laugh at

Meow!

Ed and Kim tend to stay up late at night, no matter HOW hard I try to get them to go to sleep. Because of that, they get a little weird because of being over tired. Well something just happened that just made me laugh and shake my head.

Kim is something called a "Brownie Girl Scout Leader." Syd is the Brownie. Well, tonight, Kim is sewing on patches to Syd's vest. Just a bit ago, she tried to lift her hand from the vest and the vest came up with it. Kim actually just sewed a finger to the vest. The thread went through the edge of her finger and she DIDN'T notice it. I.SWEAR.TO.GOD!!! She's just too tired.

I just HAD to run into Ed's office and post this.

Humans are SOOO strange.

Dinner TIME!!!

It's amazing what pictures I find poking around Ed's computers.

This was obviously taken at Dinner Time.

From Bottom to Top: NotSo, Me, Jasper and Jenny

There be Wild Things out there.

We got word that the Cat Next Door was attacked and beaten up by a Raccoon earlier this week. She may loose sight in one eye, has stitches in her neck, on her tail. She looks pretty bad, but still insists on being outside. Ed and Kim have taken care of her before when her humans have gone on vacation. They say that she's a very nice cat.

Kim and Ed keep all of us indoors for our own safety. This week, I'm glad.

OH.MY.GOSHAROONY

RRROWR!

Well, It's gonna happen ... Ed and Kim asked for the adoption papers for NotSo. He's going to be "part of the family." Heck, even Jenny doesn't hiss at him anymore.

He seems thrilled:

Now ... will anyone out there like to adopt a rather crotchity, 16 yo., deaf Siamese?

Games Cats Play, part 3: Trip

Playing Field: Anywhere, steps or hardware floors preferred
Safe base: Under a bed or anywhere out of reach of player B

Player A: Cat
Optional Team A: Can have team play with any number of cats

Player B: Human

Game Play: This is a "surprise game" in that Player B does not know they are involved in the game until game has begun. Player A (or Team A) determines Playing Field. Player B unwittingly starts game by walking into Playing Field.

Player A (or Team A) has the objective to race in front of Player B and twist themselves in Player B's legs.

Player B's objective is not to fall down and injure themselves.

Points are awarded to Player A (or Team A) for:
  • Number of stairs Player B tumbles down
  • Hardness of Playing Field that Player B lands on
  • Number of objects Player B drops
  • For Team play, extra points are awarded for the number of Cats involved in Game Play

Points are awarded to Player B for:
  • Nothing really, it's pretty one sided. We're CATS, Remember?

Game is over when either Player A (or Team A) is able to make it to Safe base, or if Player B is rendered unconscious.

Here He Is

Well, Here he is, NotSo. Overall, he's NotSo bad. He won't fight me, but he'll take a pot shot every so often when I walk by. I still don't know if he's going to be permanent or not.

WTF?!?!? What are they THINKING?

MRRROWWR!

Holy Crap!

Um, I'm at a loss. Today started out okay, got up late, ate, slept. Then I heard one of Kim's friends come over and everyone's talking in the family room. So, wanting to see what's up, I go to check things out. As I walk into the room, Ed's sitting on the couch and he's trying to get my attention. I look up, and there's A NEW CAT SITTING ON MY COUCH!!! I tried to show him who's boss. Did my best "I'm the KING of this house" pose. I dared him to fight me, but he just stared at me. Didn't do ANYTHING! (I'm kinda relieved, really ... he's pretty muscular.)

Apparently, Ed and Kim are going to foster this cat for a little while and POSSIBLY ADOPT IT!!! This cat's name is "NotSo", which is short for "He's Not So Right". He's 3 years old and jet-black. He does have a disabled/disfigured paw, but that didn't stop him from wacking me a couple times.

I'll post photos soon as I find an image host (I may use Ed's server, if I think I can get away with it.)

Man ... my holiday was RUINED!
