Games Cats Play, part 4: Rise and Shine

Playing Field: Every bedroom in the house that has humans sleeping in it.
Game Time: First morning light.

Team A: Cats

Team B: Humans

Game Play: This is another "surprise game" in that Team B does not know they are involved in the game until game has begun. Team A will begin game play when one of the team members notices that the dry food bowls or water mugs are empty. A "call to game" is made to the other team members who then begin to move from room to room attempting to wake up the members of Team B.

Team A has the objective to wake members of Team B and successfully get one or more to refill the food bowls or water mugs.

Team B's objective is to stay asleep.

Points are awarded to Team A for:

* Number of members of Team B are woken up.
* Getting members of Team B to feed/water them.
* Amount of cursing from Team B members
* Creativity of cursing from Team B members

Points are awarded to Team B for:

* Staying asleep until normal wake up times. (These may differ from weekdays to weekends.)

Game is over when Team B feeds/waters Team A.

MMMmmmm, Plants!

Purrrr

Ed and Kim bought some live palm trees for Syd's "Lilo & Stitch Luau" Birthday party. Four to be exact. All us Cats are in heaven, because they usually don't keep such tasty snacks out where we can get them. Of course, we have to stretch a little to reach them, but that just gives us that sense of the hunt.

If there's a drawback, it's hearing Ed or Kim cuss up a storm each morning as they walk through the house and step in the little piles of barf that we lovingly leave to honor the gift of fresh greens. It's not our fault that they don't wear socks or watch where they're walking.

Yummy!

Batten down the Hatches ... It's Birthday Time!

ROWWWR!

GREAT GOOGALY MOOGALY!

Syd's 7th birthday is coming up, so this past Sunday we had a "Lilo and Stitch Luau" party with her friends. Fifteen screaming, running, chasing, carrying, poking, (did I mention screaming?) mini-humans running rampant around the house. And you know, out of those 15, only one ... ONE ... kid understood how to pick me up? Oh, and PLEASE don't talk to me about how I ended up being somewhat of a party favor. But, MAN, I didn't want to go hide. I might have missed something good! Hell ... NotSo slept the entire time in the kitchen and they didn't bother him! Nope...gotta go for the old man.

And why the HELL did Kim and Ed put a "waterfall" of balloons down the stairs, where if I wanted to take a breather, I'd have to try and get through.

Geeze.

Well, if you want to see what was up, here's a link to Ed's weblog, there's an article with the pictures on it.
